Up until the 88th minute it looked like a 1-1 draw in the state league basement duel between SV Pullach and TuS Geretsried.

Then midfield racer Robin Renger plucked up courage and scored for the 2-1 victory for the guests.

Pullach/Geretsried – The coach was sure.

"We'll get another chance," Daniel Dittmann swore to the Geretsried footballers from the sidelines on Saturday afternoon at the state league match in Pullach, to keep believing in the decisive goal - even when the 90 minutes were almost up.

He turned out to be right: Two minutes before the end of normal time, Robin Renger marched into the SVP penalty area from the left attacking side, instead of trying to pass Sebastian Schrills into the backcourt, he tried to finish and caused huge cheers in Geretsrieder Warehouse.

The 2:1 in the 88th minute in the basement duel against the also struggling hosts finally brought the Geretsrieders the longed-for first away win of the season in the sixth attempt.

"I'm definitely relieved," said Dittmann after the final whistle, visibly relaxed.

"There was a little bit of pressure on everyone.

The win was extremely important in order not to lose touch in the table," said the TuS coach, who had perceived his team "very focused right from the warm-up".

However, there was little sign of this in the ninth minute: the hosts hit their third corner kick in front of the Geretsried goal, where no defender cleared the ball and the ball suddenly went into the net.

"This time we didn't slump at 0:1 as usual," coach Dittmann saw his perception confirmed.

"Today there was a great deal of unity in the team." This was unimpressed by the early deficit and had its strongest phase in the period that followed.

After 15 minutes, Srdan Ivkovic headed just wide after a cross from Fabijan Podunavac, and on the next try six minutes later, the striker couldn't miss the goal after another cross from Podunavac - 1:1 in the 21st minute .

With this result we went into the break,

After the change of sides, there were not enough chances to score for either side for a long time.

In the 75th minute, TuS keeper Sebastian Untch prevented another deficit when he deflected a shot from Nguyen over the bar with a strong reflex.

On the other side, substitute Lukas Kellner only hit the side netting.

At this point there were only ten of both teams left on the course, which was difficult to play on.

The referee sent Geretsried's Ivkovic and Pullach's Naod Belachew, who had clashed on the touchline after a duel, with red cards.

"We were still very concentrated after the dismissal," said TuS coach Dittmann.

"The victory is deserved because we had faith today and forced the lucky punch in the 88th minute." With which TuS left a direct relegation zone in the table.
