Not stopping: silver and bronze medals for Anastasia Gorbenko at the World Cup in Berlin Israel today

The Israeli swimming team won the World Cup in Berlin this evening (Sunday) with two more medals from Anastasia Gorbenko.

The 19-year-old swimmer finishes the competition with a total of four medals, and will now continue to the two other competitions in the prestigious circuit, which will be held in Canada and the USA. 

Gorbenko jumped first into the water for the 50 meter breaststroke final, where she finished in third place with a time of 30.03 seconds.

The Lithuanian Olympic champion Rutha Mylotita touched the wall first with 28.60 seconds and the Swedish Sophie Hanson touched the second with 29.84 seconds.  

About half an hour later, Gorbenko jumped to the final of the 200 individual medley, where she already won the silver with a time of 2:07.60 minutes, and a quick last 50 of 29.76 that lifted her from fifth place to second place.

American Beata Nelson touched first with 2:06.80 and third, only three hundredths after Gorbenko, British Abby Wood. 

Also Tomarkin with a successful competition

Later this evening, Yaakov Tomarkin closed his own successful competition with three finals in three days, when he finished eighth in the 100 backstroke final with a time of 52.31 seconds.

In the ranking of the entire round, Gorbenko is in 10th place among female swimmers, while Tomarkin is ranked in 17th place overall.
