The 470 sailing world championship continued today (Tuesday) in Sdot Yam, with the participation of 60 pairs from around the world, in the mixed competition for men and women, as will be held for the first time at the Olympic Games in Paris in two years.
The weather and the rain that fell a little spoiled the celebration, when it caused the postponement of the cruises, those who, just after receiving the signal to get into the water, the sun was injured, but because of the early sunset, managed to hold only 2 cruises in total.

A mixed day passed for the Israeli teams, when the duo Gil Cohen and Noam Maari, the reigning world champions, who only recently returned to compete together again, after a long injury to Cohen, rose to eighth place overall at the end of the day, while they were still in the picture of the podium.
In the first cruise, the wind changes caused the pair of Maari and Cohen to position themselves in a bad way, and they crossed the finish line in 19th place.
The next cruise, they showed their abilities, finishing second, with a total of 22 minus points.

Those who continue to lead the championship are the German duo Louisa Wenzer and Flip Ottenreit, with only 11 negative points, after finishing the day's cruises in first and seventh place.
Also among the Israelis: Nitai Hasson and Noa Lesri rose to 16th place with cruises in 5th and 10th places, Aviv Asraf and Nina Amir ranked 35th (25th and 22nd), Roy Levy and Ariel Gal in 39th place (9th and 25th), Eyal Levin and Eden Gor 51 (31 and 24) and Hagar Demati and Shagy Adler 52 (25 and 31).

Tomorrow (Wednesday), three more cruises are expected, when the fleet will be divided into gold and silver houses according to the positions so far and on Saturday the medal cruise will take place, where the world champions will be announced.
