Munich/Barcelona – FC Bayern continues to march through the Champions League.

At least through the group stage.

Coach Julian Nagelsmann's team celebrated their fifth win by beating FC Barcelona 3-0 (2-0) in their fifth game and will be the group winners ahead of the final game against Inter Milan on Tuesday (November 1, 9 p.m.).

Remarkable: In four of the five games, Bayern did not concede a goal.

In what is probably the strongest CL group with Inter Milan, FC Barcelona and Viktoria Pilsen, this is a statement from Bayern.

On the other hand, it was bitter for Barca, who were eliminated before the game against Munich on Wednesday evening.

The Blaugrana had strengthened prominently in the summer and made large investments despite high debts - in the end after the World Cup for Robert Lewandowski and Co. only the Europa League was on the program.

Speaking of Lewandowski, the world footballer was hardly a factor at all when he met his old colleagues from FC Bayern at the Camp Nou.

Particularly bitter for Lewandowski: A penalty already given to him was taken back by VAR.

Referee Matthew Taylor from England immediately awarded a penalty after the scene, but after checking the pictures he rightly withdrew it.
