The circumstances of the knife attack in a shopping center in Assago, in the Milan region, are becoming clearer as the hours go by.
On Thursday, around 6:30 p.m., a 46-year-old man with psychiatric disorders attacked six random people with a knife in a store.
One of them, a 30-year-old Bolivian employee, died on his way to hospital with injuries to his abdomen and chest.
Three other people were taken to hospital with very serious injuries.
Among them was Pablo Mari, a player from the Monza club, on loan from Arsenal.
The defender was accompanied by his child and his wife on the shelves at the time of the events.
He was stabbed in the back quite deeply.
Rushed to hospital by helicopter, he had to be operated on under general anesthesia but a few hours after the events, he was already conscious and could even express himself.

The toll could have been even heavier without the intervention of an individual to control the assailant.
According to the transalpine press, it is Massimo Tarantino, a 51-year-old former footballer.
The latter stopped the attacker before removing the knife seized from the store.
