The World Cup games in Qatar will start in exactly 12 days, but it turns out that one of the main decision makers is taking offense at the strange choice of the small emirate as the host of the tournament.
As you may remember, for the first time the prestigious tournament will take place in the summer due to the harsh weather that prevails in the country during these months, which forced all the top leagues in Europe to enter a forced break of more than a month.

The one who was the president of FIFA at the time, Sepp Blatter, who claimed after the selection of Qatar that there would be no problem playing in the summer, clarified today (Tuesday) in an interview in Switzerland that the idea of selecting Qatar was simply fundamentally wrong.
"Choosing Qatar as host was a mistake," said Blatter, "at the time we agreed that Russia should host the 2014 World Cup and the USA the 2022 tournament. It would have been a gesture of peace if the two rival countries had hosted one after the other.
"Qatar is simply too small a country," concluded the Swiss, "Such a huge football tournament, just too big for them. I admit it was a mistake...".
