The good news for Golden State: Steph Curry is at his peak.
The bad news: despite the star's 47 points, the champion barely scratched out a 113:116 home victory over Sacramento.
After an embarrassing streak of five away losses, the champions returned to their home hall and trailed all the way, but enjoyed perhaps one of the peak games in Kerry's wonderful career, who only last year led this team to the championship against predictions, but gave a very rare display of efficiency even by his standards.
Look at Steph's numbers: He made 17 of 24 shots (70.8 percent), including 7 of 12 from beyond the arc.
Added 8 rebounds, 8 assists in 38 minutes and perhaps the most amazing statistic is that he finished the game without turnovers even though the ball was in his hands all the time.
In total, since the start of the season, Kerry has already shot 53 three-pointers and has at least 3 three-pointers in each of Golden State's first ten games of the season - the longest streak in NBA history.
Kerry meanwhile is averaging 32.6 points per game on 51.2 percent from the field and 43 percent from beyond the arc.
Just getting better and better.

"I would say that Steph Curry is a breathtaking player," Steve Kerr described his star after the game.
The coach, who collaborated as a player with several great players, including Michael Jordan of course, stated: "He is undoubtedly one of the greatest players of all time, he plays so well in so many games, but this was a special night for him. It was just Steph who decided we were going to win this game. He carried us on his back and did whatever it took to win."
"I really liked our energy in the second half," Kerr added, "it felt like we were in the game and did enough to win."
Andrew Wiggins, who was Golden State's No. 2 player in the last playoff final against Boston, tried to describe Curry and said: "He's just fun to watch. He's an unbelievable player. Two players guard him and the ball goes in. He's that good, it's fun for the fans to see him Game. He's a real GOAT."
