You can't please everyone.
Knesset member Bezalel Smotrich's appeal to the league director regarding the holding of the Premier League games on Saturday stirred up the busy game week.
The Shabbat issue is a subject of controversy in various areas of life, such as the opening of supermarkets and the operation of public transportation.
Even in the national league, players asked not to play on Saturday, and a solution was found that was agreed upon by all.
The director tries to hold many games not on Shabbat, and this is due to the desire to also allow religious citizens to be partners.
The desire to satisfy everyone is impossible, and the manager tries to divide the playing hours and days between all the teams.
The fact that the team owners have no complaints at the moment, indicates more than anything that the burden in the layout of the games is equal.
Smotrich made his claims due to the fact that the league management started holding one league game on Saturday at noon.
This is an accepted thing in world football, and there is nothing unusual about it.
A game on Saturday afternoon enables and promotes the arrival of families and children who cannot make it to the courts late in the evening and on weekdays.
This is a correct thought, and it should be congratulated.

So who is more important?
The religious community that is prevented from coming on Shabbat, or the community of children and families who can only come on Shabbat?
All are equally important.
The issue raised by the member of the Knesset is not relevant, since the current situation is a decent compromise, where everyone occasionally gives up their principles for the benefit of the other and without coercion.

In spite of everything, it will be fine.

The difference is Parfay Guillaume and Zlatan Shakhovic, two significant players that the team lost, and the purchased players that were brought in failed to leave a good impression - that's the whole point.
With a small adjustment of the players after the World Cup break, and with the same game patterns as last season, the team will get on the right track and the quality of the players will again be reflected.
The story of Benny Lem at Maccabi Netanya has a happy ending, as he will continue at the club in a different role, but it's still a shame.

A matter of perspective.
The draw for the round of 16 in the Champions League held this week invited us to two matches between teams at the highest level - Liverpool against Real Madrid, and Bayern Munich against Paris Saint-Germain.
On the one hand, one can look at this draw and be disappointed that two excellent teams will end their way in the competition at a relatively early stage;
On the other hand, we will get to see football meetings at the highest level.

Maccabi Haifa ended its journey in Europe, and along with excellent games that added honor to it, suffered two defeats.
It was a beautiful journey with magic moments in Belgrade and in Sami Ofer, with exciting goals and a great atmosphere.
The great profit of the Maccabi Haifa players for the rest of the season is that they are left with a taste for more, and they yearn to return to the Champions League next season as well.
This could be another mental engine on the way to another championship in Carmel.
