Rotem Tana and Michal Yaakovlev will represent Israel in the Champions League in track cycling that will start on Saturday in Majorca.
The two are part of a group of 18 sprinters and 18 endurance riders, who received an invitation from the International Union (UCI) to participate in the prestigious round.
For Yaakovlev, this will be his debut as an Israeli and his first international competition for 2022.
The round will start this Saturday in Majorca and will include competitions in Berlin and Paris before ending in London in early December.
All races will be broadcast live on Eurosport.
Each competition will last less than two hours and will include two endurance divisions and two sprint divisions for men and women in a specially televised format.
Tana received an invitation to the endurance races thanks to his record achievement at the World Championship last month, where he finished 5th in the elimination race.
Yaakovlev, who immigrated to Israel in August from Russia as published in Israel Hayom, finished third in the sprint races in last year's round.
