The young judoka Yair Albuhar, decided yesterday (Friday) to donate his bar mitzvah money to 'Shalwa', after reading about the association's activities in 'Israel Hayom', following the special event held at the beginning of the week with the team that went to the New York Marathon.

Albuhar, who in recent years has been training with the assistant coach of the Israeli national team Gil Ofer and Or Ran at the club in Emek Hafer, has been following Shloh for a long time, after he found out that Olympic medalist Uri Sasson founded a judo club and donated to them the suit with which he won the bronze medal in Rio 2016.

Over the past few years, Yair has been progressing in the industry, as he admires the juda Peter Palchik - whose quotes decorate his room and even recently he was invited by him to train the team, in honor of his 13th birthday.

"I have known 'Shalwa' for a long time, her activities and her relationship with judo," said Albuhar.

"Now I also read about their connection to sports with the marathon this week, and together with the activity of the band whose songs I listen to, I had no doubt who I would donate to."

His mother Irit added: "With us, every child donates from his Bar Mitzvah money because his fate has favored him. Yair donated, among other things, to 'Shluh', because they have a judo activity that Uri Sasson is also involved in. In his youth, Yair played basketball, soccer and judo, and to my delight Get on with it. Judo is an amazing sport."
