The United States men's national team took a big step today (Monday) against the World Cup in Qatar.
The Americans redesigned their symbol and incorporated the pride flag in it, with the aim of showing solidarity with the LGBT community which receives a discriminatory status in the Muslim country.

The tournament, which will begin on Sunday, has received quite a bit of criticism, as I remember, due to the host country's attitude towards human rights and the attitude towards the gay community.
Earlier this month, the World Cup ambassador in Qatar told a German TV broadcaster that homosexuality was 'damage to the soul', and that it was illegal to be gay in the conservative Muslim country.
According to reports, during the construction of the stadiums for the big tournament, thousands of workers were killed.
