The reason: A breakdown prevented entry to the venue.
Doha – At the 2022 World Cup in Qatar (2022 World Cup live on TV), Costa Rica is considered one of the blatant outsiders.
The Central Americans also drew the hammer ticket in the draw.
In Group E, the "Ticos" meet the European heavyweights Spain and Germany as well as Japan, which is peppered with some Bundesliga stars.

World Cup 2022: "The agreement was not kept" - DFB opponent Costa Rica cancels the last test
For Costa Rica, preparations for the World Cup didn't go according to plan.
The Central American team had to cancel their World Cup dress rehearsal against Iraq, which was scheduled for Thursday, because of problems entering Iraq by bus from Kuwait.
“The agreement not to stamp passports was not kept.
That's why we decided not to enter Iraq and to cancel the game," said association spokeswoman Gina Escobar.
The game should have taken place in the southern Iraqi town of Basra.
Costa Rica had prepared for the World Cup in Kuwait, and the team will fly to Qatar on Friday.
The team led by PSG goalkeeper Keylor Navas won the first and only test match 2-0 against Nigeria, which itself has not qualified for the World Cup (teams at the 2022 World Cup).

an average market value of 721,000 euros per player - only World Cup hosts and group opponents Qatar are even lower.
The best known in this country is probably goalkeeper Keylor Navas, who was able to make a name for himself for the first time at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil with his brilliant saves.

In the meantime, however, Navas has been sidelined by the French series champions PSG.
On Wednesday (schedule for the 2022 World Cup), Spain will be the first opponent, followed by Group E against Japan (November 27) and Germany (December 1).
In 2014, Costa Rica made it to the quarterfinals.
With the strong group opponents, anything but the preliminary round would be a sensation.
