Coupe de France: "We are qualified, that's the main thing", finally a positive note for Paris FC

Still reduced to ten, Paris FC (L2) has not always been sovereign in Burgundy, in Cosne which evolves three divisions below. But before

At least this disappointing first part of the season ended on a positive note and not on another bad joke for Paris FC.

In Cosne, 13th and penultimate in the N3 Bourgogne - Franche-Comté championship, the Parisians avoided the trap by seeking their qualification for the 32nd finals of the Coupe de France after a hectic week marked by the transfer of Julien Le Cardinal in Lens.

2nd expulsion for Dabila, the 7th for the club

Deprived of several players (Chergui, Hanin, Lopez, Chahiri, Hadjam, etc.), Paris FC seemed to have done the hardest part by showering the enthusiasm of the Raphaël Giraud stadium on entry with a goal from Morgan Guilavogui (4th), his 6th of the season in all competitions.

But with this team, definitely, nothing is simple this season.

Yves Dabila was sent off against Valenciennes (0-1) on October 8.

For his return to the team after two games on the bench, the central defender who arrived from Lille (L1) in August was again sanctioned… with a red card in an aerial duel (26th).

“It could have been a trap”

This is already the 7th expulsion for a Paris FC player this season.

“The expulsion is non-existent for me, believes Thierry Laurey.

Even the referee told me at the end that she was tough.

The problem is that it weighed down the game a bit when we had played a good 20 minutes.

She gave oxygen to the adversary.

On a field like that, in the rain that fell throughout the match, it could have been a trap.

We could have gone into a spin but luckily we didn't go into a spin.

That's what I remember.

At ten against eleven, Paris FC, which was encouraged by around thirty supporters, despite the boycott of one of the two kops, the Ultras Lutetia, necessarily had a more complicated match.

But the very experimental defense, without any professional side and with the usual hinge of the N3, Loup-Diwan Gueho-Karamoko (aligned on the left at the start), held up well.

“We knew how to adapt”

Vincent Demarconnay, aligned in the Coupe de France, also made the necessary stop.

“The boys were united, appreciates Laurey.

After the expulsion, I brought down Gory on the left, he had a great game, with a lot of sprints.

Gueho and Karamoko were interesting too.

Lasne was able to replay 75 minutes.

I took Guilavogui out because he took two tampons.

If Dabila is expelled, then the faults on him also deserved the red… I had not expected Le Cardinal to leave this week, I had no full-backs but we were able to adapt.

It's positive.

We are qualified, that's the main thing.

At the end of the match, Alamami Gory, on a cross diverted by Jeaunet, put his team to safety (0-2, 84th).

This is the 6th win in a row (4 in L2, 2 in the Coupe de France) for Paris FC away from home.

The players will resume training on Wednesday 30 November.

Two friendly matches are scheduled, against PSG (December 16 at 11 a.m. at Camp des Loges) and against Troyes (December 21, 3 p.m. at Orly training center) before the resumption of L2, December 26 in Pau .
