Despite a very good first period, the Italians were then unable to do anything against the Springboks (21-63).

The weeks follow each other and are not alike for Italy.

A week after achieving a historic feat by dominating Australia, the Transalpine suffered the law of South Africans (21-63).

Springboks who were jostled in the first period, which they finished in the lead for five points (13-18).

But during the second act, the world champions scored seven tries to outclass the local team and avoid a bad surprise after losing against France.

A one-sided second period

The Springboks started the game in the best possible way with an early try from Arendse (2nd).

But the Italians did not demobilize, even going so far as to take the lead thanks to a superb try from Ange Capuozzo (10-8, 12th).

Indeed, the Italian, well served, pierced the opposing defense over more than 20 meters after a good ball recovered by his team.

But it was ultimately the Springboks who returned to the locker room by leading the score thanks to a penalty transformed by Kolbe (13-18).

If the Italians were equal with the South Africans in the first half, they sank in the second.

The meeting tipped over to an individual feat by Christian Kolbe.

On the dismissal kick, the Toulonnais jumped higher than everyone and captured the ball before spinning alone towards the in-goal (16-23, 46th).

The visitors would then roll out despite the injury of the same Kolbe, hit in the thigh on his try.

Only two minutes later, The Boks widened the gap with a try from the untenable Arendse (16-30).

The Boks accelerated and once again extended the ball on the left lane by finding Arendse who resisted a final tackle to score a double (50th).

The Italians then sank by conceding five additional tries including another from Arendse, logically elected man of the match, who offered himself a hat-trick.

The Bocks find the taste of victory by inflicting a heavy defeat on the Italians (21-63).
