In addition to the simple design, the high price is the main cause of excitement. The German record champions charge a whopping 100 euros for outerwear – without flocking of player names and numbers. 100 euros for the FC Bayern jersey is too much for many fans
A user wrote on Twitter under the post of FC Bayern Munich about the new home jersey: "The price is now finally outrageous!" Another rather ironic comment was: "Next year, please raise it to 125 euros. 99 euros is a real snapper."
Another Twitter user was a little clearer and vented his displeasure: "The prices are cheeky. I actually wanted to get the new jersey, but not for such moon prices." With the awareness that the high price setting will upset some supporters, FCB had apparently taken precautions. The association offers a discount campaign for orders until 30 June, which eliminates 15 euros for flocking. However, this is only a small consolation, because in addition to the price, the design is also a point of contention for the fans of the Munich-based company.

The design of FC Bayern's new home jersey is based on the times of promotion to the Bundesliga
In the design of the new home jersey, FC Bayern Munich alludes to times gone by, when the club's current success could not even be guessed at. According to the club's official statement, the white shirt with the red sleeves is "a nod to the home shirt worn by the players in 1965 after promotion to the First Division. The inside of the collar completes the design with the lettering "Red & White for a lifetime", which complements the "Mia san mia" on the neck."
While some fans were enthusiastic on Twitter, other users were irritated by the color choice: "I don't like the jersey very much. Our main color is red and not white!" Thomas Müller, on the other hand, can fully identify with the new jerseys of his favourite club: "The colours red and white have been with me all my life. With this traditional design, the new home jersey stands for the success story of FC Bayern Munich," as the long-time Bayern player is quoted as saying on the club's website. (jsk)
