35th minute: Goal! It's 2-0! Again, Bernardo Silva is on the spot, this time with his head! Great attack by the home team immediately after the Kroos crossbar. Grealish on Gündogan, whose shot is parried - then the device lands with Bernardo Silva and he nods precisely and quite unmolested into the top right corner.
34th minute: Kroos unpacks the hammer! What a tight shot from the German Real star from distance. The leather slams against the crossbar - Ederson was still very light. First chance for Madrid.

23rd minute: 1:0! City attack from the right with a strong pass into the interface of De Bruyne - and then Bernardo Silva pulls off ice-cold. That was foreseeable - the leadership is, as of now, deserved!

21st minute: Courtois holds! And not everyone can save Halaand's header! Huge chance for the home side after a corner - but the Real keeper stretches and parries sensationally.
18th minute: Not only visually the events so far speak for the British, also statistically it looks good from their point of view: So far, 82:18 percent ball possession speaks a clear language.
13th minute: Dangerous header from Halaand! Real keeper Courtois defuses it from close range. City have the game totally under control so far!

Update, 20:55 p.m.: The City anthem is playing at the packed and atmospheric Etihad Stadium in Manchester (approx. 55,000). So the mood is already there - and the ball is about to roll here!
Update, 20:30 p.m.: The home team will face Everton in the Premier League with the tailwind of a 3-0 away win. The in-form Ilkay Gundogan contributed two goals at the weekend to the English league leaders' 27th league victory. Real Madrid, runners-up in LaLiga, were also victorious on Saturday, narrowly defeating Getafe 1-0. However, the Ancelotti team no longer has a chance of winning the league title.
Update, 19:48 p.m.: The lineups are there - and there is only one change overall, but a surprising one! DFB international Antonio Rüdiger, who did a very good job in the first leg against City superstar Haaland, has to take a seat on the bench for the time being. His centre-back position in Real Madrid's starting XI will be taken over by Eder Militao today. In return, there are no changes - at least compared to the first meeting - in the starting line-up of Pep Guardiola's Citizens.

First reported on 16 May: Manchester - After Inter Milan have already qualified for this year's Champions League final in the semi-finals against AC Milan, all football enthusiasts are now asking themselves one more question: Who will follow the Italians into the final of the Champions League? Manchester City and Real Madrid are still in business. Both top teams, which some observers would have liked to see as duel partners in the final, still have every chance of the last final ticket after the 1-1 draw in the first leg.

After the first meeting of the Citizens, one scene in particular caused a sensation: the remarkable equaliser by City star Kevin de Bruyne in the 67th minute. The goal was immediately preceded by a scene in which Manchester's Bernardo Silva had brought the leather into the field just behind the touchline.
However, the video assistant and the referee did not intervene. "The ball was out. That's not what I'm saying, that's what technology says," said Real coach Carlo Ancelotti, struggling with the decision after the encounter.

Champions League: Real Madrid and Man City deliver a repeat of the 2022 semi-finals
Incidentally, today's encounter, which is known to be a replay of the curious semi-final of 2022, means a record for Ancelotti: with 191 games as coach in the UEFA Champions League, he overtakes Sir Alex Ferguson (190 games) and is now alone in first place in this statistic.
Real can probably go into the duel a little more rested today, for whom there is not so much at stake in the first Spanish league - Primus FC Barcelona is unassailably far ahead here. Madrid can therefore concentrate fully on the Champions League. Guardiola's team, in which star striker Erling Haaland was rather inconspicuous in the first leg, on the other hand, is still in the middle of the fight for the title in the Premier League, where they recently celebrated twelve victories in a row.
