The magical journey of the Israeli under-20 team continued tonight (between Tuesday and Wednesday), with a victory over Uzbekistan and securing a ticket to the quarterfinals of the World Cup. The next opponent will be determined tomorrow (20:30 p.m., Sports4) in a meeting between one of the favorites to win Brazil vs Tunisia. The quarterfinals will take place this Saturday at 20:30 p.m. in San Juan (25,2015 seats), the stadium that hosted Group B and two games in the eighth final.
Brazil, which has won the World Cup five times in the past and returned for the first time since 3, is considered one of the most talented teams in the tournament, and one of the favorites to go all the way. They opened the group stage early with a 2-3 loss to Italy (having already fallen behind 0-35 in the 0th minute), recovered with an easy 6-0 win over the Dominican Republic, and finally finished top of the group thanks to a 2-<> win over Nigeria.

The team is coached by Ramón Menezes, who has extensive experience in Brazilian football. The big name is midfielder Andrei Santos, who was bought by Chelsea earlier this year for around €15 million and loaned back to Vasco da Gama after being crowned top scorer at the South American Under-20 Championship earlier this year. The standout player in attack is 20-year-old Marcus Leonardo from Santos, who scored 13 goals in 10 appearances for the under-20 team and has been mentioned as a candidate for Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United, Arsenal and others.
The winger Marquinhos was signed by Arsenal in 2022 and last year played on loan at Norwich, while Manchester City's Sabinho played on loan at PSV. Right-back Arthur will join Bayer Leverkusen this summer, and while quite a few of his teammates are still playing in Brazil, many of them are considered great talents who should soon take the next step towards European football.

The big star is winger Mohamed Dawi, who recently joined Egyptian side Al-Ahly, midfielder Haim Al Djabili grew up in Lyon's youth department and plays for Lyon B, alongside a number of other players who play in Europe - striker Bashir Jakob belongs to Monaco, his attacking partner Djibril Othman belongs to Saint-Etienne, midfielder Sami Chuchan belongs to Brighton, defender Karim Al-Abed belongs to Karlsruhe and goalkeeper Thomas Zoeji to Sassuolo.
