In the relegation match to stay in the A-Class, FC Finsing 3 won against SC Kirchasch 2 on Tuesday evening, not undeservedly, with 2:1 (1:1) goals.

Neuching – In front of almost 400 spectators, both teams had loud support from the fans on a neutral pitch in Neuching, who saw a game that was contested until the end.

The Finsingers, who had fielded a technically strong team that ran the ball well in their own ranks, came into the game better. But the Kirchascher put up fierce resistance with good tackling and appropriate commitment and allowed little to come.

Nevertheless, the Finsingers came up with opportunities. In the 10th minute, Michael Bayer prevailed in a half-right position, but missed the Kirchascher goal. Far better was his preparatory work for the opening goal after a good quarter of an hour. Again, Bayer appeared on the half-right in a good shooting position. However, this time he did not look for the finish, but moved on to the goal line and laid perfectly for Luca Nikas, who pushed the ball into the goal from close range to make it 1-0 for Finsing.

Slowly, the Kirchascher got better into the game, but then had great luck in the 25th minute when goalkeeper Ägidius Altmann missed a play and the ball landed with Thomas Fertl, who did not know what to do with the gift. The Kirchascher's momentum continued until half-time, and coach Marcel Tätzel's team was rewarded with an equaliser just before the break. KSC were awarded a free kick in a half-left position, which Sebastian Maier hit sharply into the five-metre area, and which was decisively deflected into the FCF goal by Andreas Schäffler to make it 1-1.

It was hard work: both teams didn't give each other anything for 90 minutes. After the change of sides, the Finsingers came out of the dressing room motivated and went on the offensive again, which posed problems for the Kirchascher, but their defensive system worked. In a controversial scene, at a "general assembly" in the Kirchascher penalty area, the Finsing spectators and players vehemently demanded a penalty kick after a borderline duel, but the referee Paul Görner, who stood very well, let play continue. For the Finsingers, the last pass often did not arrive. So the strong Bavarian opted for a different variant and completed a strong individual performance to make it 2-1 (57th).

But less than an hour had been played, and Kirchasch once again mobilized all his strength. With Jonas Leitloff, Justin Schröter and Maxi Straßer as well as later Tobias Maier, fresh forces came. With the courage of desperation, SC Kirchasch went on the offensive, which of course opened up all the room for counterattacks for the Finsingers. But neither the Finsingers were able to use their chances to make it 3-1 nor the Kirchashers their shooting or header opportunities to make it 2-2. So after 90 minutes it remained with the narrow success of the Finsingers, who celebrated the relegation after the game accordingly.
