The French men's 4x400m relay, silver medallist on the final day of competition on Sunday, avoided a zero point at France the World Athletics Championships in Budapest, less than a year before the Paris Olympics.
The French quartet, composed of Ludvy Vaillant, Gilles Biron, David Sombe and Téo Andant, set a national record of 2 min 58 sec 45. Only the United States was ahead of them (2:57.31). Great Britain rounded out the podium (2:58.71).
