Liubin moved to the Ukrainian team Mariupol which was then at full strength.
During his second season at the club he moved to Apollon Patras, here the physical problems and injuries began and he was forced to retire at the age of 30.
The ability and dominance brought him to the Israeli national team.
His most memorable game in the national uniform was against Romania by Yad Eliyahu in the qualifiers for the European Championship in 2003, when he led the team to a great victory in the 28th difference.
He played in the national team 30 times and scored 170 points.
The transition to coaching was natural and obvious for Liubin because of his personality and extensive knowledge.
During this time he was simultaneously involved in training and developing young players - one of his greatest strengths.

His coaching career began not surprisingly with his good friend Oded Ketch.
He was his assistant coach at Hapoel Gilboa/Gilboa when the team won the championship in 2010.

In the 2016/17 season, he came to Maccabi Tel Aviv as an assistant coach, this was the season in which there were five coaches in the team. He stayed there until the end of the season, during which he was also head coach for a short period. Later, he did not coach for two years.
