Jürgen Klopp will quit as coach of Liverpool FC next summer.
The trainer announced this in a statement from his club on Friday.
Munich – Jürgen Klopp's time as coach at Liverpool FC will come to an end next summer.
The trainer announced this in a statement from his club on Friday.
The 56-year-old will therefore not fulfill his contract, which is valid until 2026.
Klopp quits Liverpool FC: “I’m running out of energy”
“I'm running out of energy.
I've known for a while that I would have to announce it at some point.
I know I can’t do the job over and over again,” said the 56-year-old in a video released by the club on Friday.
In April 2022, the German coach extended his contract early until 2026.
The former Borussia Dortmund coach moved to the
Reds
in October 2015 and, among other things, won the Champions League in 2019 and the English championship in 2020.
