The secretary of Justice of North Carolina, Josh Stein, asked the court to put an end to the e-cigarette trade and advertising aimed at minors. Stein filed eight lawsuits against eight companies arguing that they offer steamer products, with flavors of desserts and sweets, without verifying the age of the buyers. The number of middle and high school students who consume these devices increased from 2.1 million in 2017 to 3.6 million last year, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
