(CNN) - It is 17.9 feet long, that is, a little over 5 meters, and according to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC), it is the second most python Big captured in the state.

After doing the analysis of the animal and the respective measurement, the FWC posted on its Facebook page the photos and videos of the feat, giving credit to Kevin Reich, a member of the "Pyton Action" team. "Men and women like Kevin are making a big difference to our native wildlife."

On its website, the FWC explains the importance of capturing this species. He says that it is a Burmese python, a non-venomous constrictor, invading the state of Florida, which is normally found in the everglades and surrounding areas, threatening native wildlife.
