With the launch of the 61st session of the Damascus International Fair, the people of Aleppo are recalling the images of the past printed in their memories since 1954 that have left unforgettable memories and attitudes through its successive sessions.

70-year-old Haj Bakri Bousstaji tells SANA his beautiful memories in the first sessions of the exhibition: “I was in the prime of the youth when the exhibition opened and my family was eager to travel to Damascus to visit him every year as a space to get to know what is new and modern at that time. I take my children every year to visit the exhibition as my father used to do and recall my beautiful memories there and the special concerts in which the throats of Arab singing stars, which are still printed in my memory until this moment. ”

Cheb Yahya Mohamed Sobhi says: “The Damascus International Fair is a history in itself and we are the generation of the eighties educated on the beauty and splendor of this social demonstration so that the atmosphere of the exhibition is planted in the conscience of everyone in us. Sima Sham Ya The Sword as well as the flags of the countries participating in the exhibition are awe-inspiring. ”

He added: “In my last visit to the exhibition last year, I did not have time to visit all the pavilions because of their abundance, diversity and richness, as well as the huge and large areas in the new exhibition city.” For more than 10 days until it opens the way for visitors to enjoy more shopping and hiking, especially the people of other provinces.

Mrs. Ghofran Ahmad recalls the beautiful times she spent during the Damascus International Fair during her stay in Damascus during the sixties, which drilled in her memory images of childhood associated with the colors of the exhibition and trees that decorate its areas and the seller of candy and toys and lottery raffles, which will not be erased because of the special and distinctive charm of her daughters And her grandchildren wishing to return those happy moments despite their simplicity.

Cheb Abdel Sattar Moussa points out that the Damascus International Fair is an important cultural edifice and is considered a social and breathtaking forum for the people of the governorates, who visit it every year for walks and shopping at reasonable prices for all products, recalling his last visit to the exhibition last year, where he had a lot of beautiful memories accompanied by his comrades.

The Syrians are eagerly awaiting the opening of the Damascus International Fair annually to enjoy its distinctive and varied exhibits and to see all that is new in the world of technology, industries and many other fields and memories of the past merge with the present to form a cultural and social heritage passed down from one generation to the next. From its developments its space has expanded and the exhibition has become world class.
