[Washington 4th Reuters]-US President Trump said yesterday that he did not want to talk to China about Huawei, a major communications equipment company.
President Trump told reporters that Huawei stressed “a national security concern”. “The US will not deal with Huawei because of great concerns about the US military and intelligence agencies,” he said.
He said, “Let's see how things will change in China, but Huawei is not the agenda that the US currently wants to discuss.”
President Trump has stated in the past that he is positive about discussing Huawei in trade talks with China, but it is not clear from this day's comments whether this idea has changed.
