[Washington, 6th Reuters]-The foundation for the appointment of Bulgarian President Christina Georgieba, World Bank Chief of the European Union (EU), is appointed as the next Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) is there.
According to sources, the only remaining candidate is Mr. Georgieba. Former Treasury Minister George Osborne, who was seen as a competing horse, abandoned the candidacy.
The candidate's recommendation will be closed at 11:59 pm on 6th Eastern Time (0:59 pm on 7th Japan time).
The IMF board is expected to finalize by October 4.
