The unilateral coercive economic measures imposed by the United States and some of its allies on Syria constitute a flagrant violation of international law, threaten peace and stability in the region, serve terrorists and hinder efforts to find a political solution to the crisis in Syria, Jaromir Schlabata, head of the Czechoslovak Institute of International Relations, said.
In a statement to the SANA correspondent in Prague, Chalabata condemned these measures, stressing, however, their failure to break the will of the Syrian people and withstand the challenges and undermine their confidence in his leadership, indicating that the wrong policies of the United States and Western and regional countries are the main cause of the crisis in Syria and prolonging and displacing its citizens.
He stressed that any foreign military presence on Syrian territory without the consent or request of the Syrian state is illegal and constitutes an attack on Syrian sovereignty.
On the other hand, Chalabata pointed to the importance of the Damascus International Fair, noting that the large participation of companies, including the Czech in the 61st session was a clear message to the world on the reality of reality in Syria and it represents a great achievement for the Syrian people after their victories in the face of terrorism.
Shlabata also praised the beauty and heritage of antiquities in Syria and the hospitality of the Syrian people, which he felt during his visit to Syria.
