MOSCOW - The Russian Foreign Ministry announced today that Iran has reduced its obligations under the Comprehensive Plan of Action

Moscow-Sana

The Russian Foreign Ministry announced today that Iran's reduction of its obligations under the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action was a direct result of Washington's "reckless" policies, stressing that Tehran's resumption of developing centrifuges poses no threat.

"It is important to note that the United States, which in the first stage of preparing the JCPOA has called for provisional restrictions on Iran's uranium enrichment program, has long refused to comply with the terms of the nuclear deal and has begun to obstruct other countries in implementing," the ministry said in a statement. Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action and UN Security Council Resolution 2231 ”

"Iran's suspension of its voluntary commitments to the JCPOA is a direct result of Washington's reckless policies that ignore international treaties and multilateral agreements," the statement said.

The administration of US President Donald Trump has stepped up pressure on Iran after it withdrew from the nuclear deal in May last year and then imposed unfair economic measures on it, which Tehran responded recently to reduce some of its commitments in the nuclear deal.
