The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs called on the international community and international and humanitarian organizations to hold Israeli officials accountable for their crimes against the Palestinian prisoners in the Israeli detention centers, stressing that the martyrdom of Bassam Al-Sayeh is a heinous crime whose chapters and killings continue against dozens of prisoners because of the policy of medical negligence practiced by the occupation against them.
The Foreign Ministry stressed in a statement carried by WAFA agency that it is exerting efforts with the International Criminal Court to expedite the opening of an investigation into the ongoing crimes of occupation against the Palestinian people, land, property and holy sites, including the execution of the martyr Sayeh.
The Foreign Ministry pointed out that the continued failure of the international community to provide international protection for the Palestinians and the failure to hold Israeli officials accountable for their violations and crimes, the United Nations is losing its remaining credibility in maintaining international peace and security.
