The young Shadi Adnan Asleem translated his passion for heritage and his passion for collecting heritage collections and antiquity through the establishment of a diverse museum containing hundreds of pieces decorated with the addition of his home in the farm in the city of Sweida.
The museum, which Shadi launched, opened its doors to visitors after collecting the pieces it contained over 15 years.
Shadi, 39, told SANA reporter that he had collected the museum's collections after he had designed a basalt stone décor, adding to his aesthetics and emphasizing the importance of returning to the past and introducing the present generations to the value of heritage.
The museum contains various Arabic coffee tools and weapons that the ancestors seized in the battles against the French, including 1873 gunpowder, authentic Arabic swords, Damascene, daggers, and old agricultural tools such as (study board and stone crusher) and dedicated to food such as (Mansaf, Dest, Albits and straw dishes) and lighting fixtures such as lanterns and cooking tools. (Kapir kerosene), heating tools, incense burners, copper, telephones and old radios, one of which is about one meter high and one meter wide.
The museum, which spans over 80 meters, also features ancient Islamic pots and jugs that are more than 500 years old, in addition to harvesting tools, so-called water mills, stone rollers, large wooden wheels, pints, old sewing machines, large wooden boxes decorated with shells, folk costume and cobbler anvil. To a group of ancient Syrian and Arab currencies and paper money.
He asserts that his passion for heritage and the antiquity of ancient antecedents and attention to things associated with the memory of the ancestors was a motive for his work, which finds it necessary to recall the past, which is an extension of the present and a message of pride in the customs and traditions inherent.
