(CNN Spanish) - In Nicaragua, José Adán Aguerri, president of the Higher Council of Private Enterprise (COSEP) reported Wednesday that they filed a complaint with the Prosecutor's Office in the department of León to investigate the facts recorded on Saturday, September 7 and that according to the leaders of the business union they put their lives at risk.

Michael Healy, president of the Union of agricultural producers of Nicaragua, UPANIC, said that dozens of motorists related to the government stoned the vehicles and shot pellets at the truck of the president of the COSEP, after being held by the Police, upon leaving Leon on September 7, after accompanying the journalist and independent radio entrepreneur Anibal Toruño, who visited his parents' grave after months in exile.

We consult the National Police about these events, through established channels but do not respond to our requests for information. The Public Ministry does not provide information on the complaints they receive.

We also requested a version of the Nicaraguan government, through the Communication Council coordinated by Vice President Rosario Murillo, but they did not respond to our requests. During their appearance the directors of the business union reiterated their call for a negotiation that leads to free, transparent and advanced elections, and rejected any electoral reform only between the government of Nicaragua and the Organization of American States.
