Strong rains swept through the ancient town of Akkar in northern Lebanon due to continued heavy rains causing material damage.
According to the Lebanese National Information Agency, the torrential rains caused various damages, as the strong water rushing on the roads reached 10 centimeters, carried with it dust and entered some houses in Al-Tiyeh area and uprooted layers of asphalt on a number of roads.
The agency pointed to the suspension of traffic in a number of Lebanese areas due to heavy rains.
