[Taipei 16th Reuters]-Founder of Hon Hai Precision Industry <2317.TW>, Mr. Terry Gou, abandoned no-participation for the presidential election in Taiwan next January Was revealed.
In July, Guo was defeated by running for a preliminary election for the opposition party and the National Party. On 12th of this month, he left the party, and there was a view that he could run without a affiliation.
Mr. Guo said in a statement that he had decided not to run for the presidential election in 2020, and thanked his supporters. However, even if he abandoned him, he said that he wouldn't get out of politics. Although he didn't reveal details, he showed his attitude to continue to insist on his own policies through the KMT.
According to Forbes magazine, Guo's total assets are 7.6 billion dollars, ranking first in Taiwan.
