Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif has stipulated that the United States should return to its commitments and prove that it can be trusted if it wants to have a place at the negotiating table.
Zarif said in a statement today on the sidelines of the Iranian government meeting "the policies of America and the Zionist entity are doomed to failure and we see these failures one after the other," noting that Iran's policy is consistent and will continue to adhere to its international obligations.
Zarif pointed out that the United States has shown that it does not abide by its agreements, which confirms the wrong policies that must be reformed or "become increasingly isolated from the world."
Asked about Iran's response to accusations of targeting Saudi oil installations, Zarif said: "We have clearly stated that the United States should seek to look at the facts rather than adopt a policy of overthrow. I feel the US government is trying to ignore the realities of our region in some way."
