Wataniya Knowledge Foundation participated for the first time in the Book Fair, where its stand was distinguished by its interaction with the visitors of the exhibition by introducing them to the Foundation and its research publications and answering their queries regarding the award of this “My Story” recently launched for the best short factual story and allowing visitors to participate in it.
The media officer of the Foundation, Iyad Zghaibi, told SANA that
Zoghibi pointed to the great turnout and interest in the competition, which extended the receipt of the participating works until 31 October next, reviewing the conditions that include all Syrians residing and expatriates and that the story does not exceed a thousand words in Arabic and includes realistic events with clarification of the places and dates of occurrence, which witnessed the story himself and exclude stories It is based on fiction, inferred and published stories, quoted from other persons or sources, or stories where abuse or violation of law or public morals.
The Foundation's pavilion also includes its publications through a series of documents No. 1 entitled (documents Sykes-Picot Agreement) translation of Musa Al-Khoury and the presentation of Dr. Buthaina Shaaban and flags series No. (1) Memoirs Afif Albhansi prepared and dialogue Saad al-Qasim.
It is worth mentioning that Watan document is a non-profit non-governmental research knowledge foundation established in 2016 in Damascus which is concerned with memorizing the past in different walks of life and documenting it according to the oral history approach. It works on preparing an archive of testimonies and recorded novels taken directly from their owners and cooperates with specialized researchers in analyzing information to write history Scientific and objective.
