The Brandenburg Greens have voted for coalition negotiations with the SPD and CDU. On Monday, just under three weeks after the state election, talks about a Kenya coalition can start.
After intensive debate with dozens of speeches, 85 percent of the delegates to the Land delegates' council in Kleinmachnow voted in favor of starting the talks, the party said.
Green Party leader Ursula Nonnemacher spoke of a "very great result" and a "great debate". "But we will also take along that many have abdominal pain," she continued. With 54 votes cast, there were seven votes against and one abstention.

The SPD state executive committee and the regional board of the CDU had decided to start coalition talks for a red-black-green alliance on Thursday. The Green Party of the Greens had also made a corresponding recommendation, but still had to decide the Small Party Congress.
