The Ministry of Communications and Technology inaugurated today a call center in Beilla in the Damascus countryside with a capacity of 6800 telephone lines and 1500 internet gates after its rehabilitation because of the damage caused by terrorism at a cost of more than 150 million pounds.
Al-Khatib said that three areas in the governorate have been fed by phone with a capacity of up to 4000 circuits and will be expanded according to need in the densely populated areas. Especially as a result of significant damage in them.
He pointed out that the number of telephone centers that returned to service in the countryside of Damascus amounted to 49 centers, while 250 centers are still out of service and there is a plan to return them to the service gradually.
For his part, Governor of Damascus countryside Alaa Mounir Ibrahim said in a similar statement that the entire province will be fed by telephone during a period of six months and with the return of citizens to the areas will be completed all services, revealing that the next step will be towards Daraya as the people began to return to it.
