The General Authority for Forest Management and Development in Hama governorate has allocated 61,634 hectares for the cultivation of wheat harsh and soft and 3670 hectares for barley cultivation as part of its agricultural plan for the coming season.
The Director General of the Authority said that the plan for next year includes the cultivation of 58 thousand and 176 hectares of irrigated wheat and 3458 hectares in Baal, in addition to the allocation of 3100 hectares of irrigated barley and 570 hectares of Baal, indicating that the cultivation of wheat and barley usually begins in the territory of the Commission in early October.
In turn, the Director of the Plant Wealth in the Authority, Eng. Wafik Zarouf, pointed out that the agricultural plan has been circulated to the various extension units and the start of granting agricultural licenses to start the work of agriculture, calling on farmers to carry out agriculture and the adoption of modern methods and varieties of wheat developed and approved by the Agricultural Research Center distributed by the General Organization for seed multiplication Due to its ability to adapt to climate conditions and high productivity
It is noteworthy that the return of stability to the province and the liberation of a large number of villages and towns from the abomination of terrorism contributed to the expansion of agricultural land and its entry into agricultural investment after it was limited to limited areas.
