Tehran - Sana
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Abbas Mousavi said that Tehran is presenting its initiatives and practical ideas within the framework of the nuclear agreement in order to "break the deadlock" and to ensure that it keeps the door open to diplomacy.
"We have to wait and see whether the initiatives and ideas of the Islamic Republic will be accepted in exchange for impractical ideas because we believe that the ideas presented by Iran have been, and will remain, within the framework of the nuclear agreement," Moussaoui was quoted as saying.
"It is unfortunate that there is no such acceptance, willingness and sincerity from the other side, especially the Americans," Mousavi said.
Moussaoui stressed that "meeting and negotiating with the Americans after their departure from the nuclear agreement has become difficult and impossible but to repent and abandon the exercise of pressure, embargo and economic terrorism against our people and return to their commitments," pointing out that in that case it may be possible to have a meeting within the mechanisms provided by the agreement Nuclear at various levels both experts and ministers and if possible a summit meeting between the member states of the agreement.
"But unless these conditions are met, it certainly won't happen."
