(CNN) - Timothy G. Trybus, a man who was caught on camera last summer stalking a woman for wearing a T-shirt with the Puerto Rican flag, was convicted of hate crimes.
On Wednesday, a jury found Trybus guilty of two counts of hate crimes, the Cook County prosecutor told WLS, a CNN affiliate.
His bond was revoked and will be sentenced on October 21.

Mia Irizarry says he was trying to celebrate his 24th birthday at the Forest Preserves Park in Cook County, when the man approached him to ask him why he wore a shirt without magnas with the flag and the inscription "Puerto Rico" underneath the neck in V.
In the video you can see the man approaching Irizarry and say: "You should not use that in the United States." Then he approaches and asks: “Are you a citizen? Are you a US citizen?
Irizarry is heard saying that Puerto Rico is part of the United States and the man approaches him several times.
The woman asks a police officer for help, telling her: "I'm renting this area and he's harassing me for the shirt I'm wearing."
And he adds: "Agent, I feel deeply uncomfortable, can you take out ... please, agent?", While watching the agent leave.
Irizarry recorded the encounter on his phone and posted the video on Facebook.
Trybus was arrested and charged with assault and alteration of order, according to a police report.
