Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Igor Morgulov said that irresponsible US policies in the Gulf region have increased tension over Iran and the region in general.
"The worsening situation in the Gulf region is the result of Washington's irresponsible policy that has not only refused to abide by its obligations under the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action for Iran's nuclear program but is systematically escalating tensions over Iran and the region in general," Morgulov said in an interview with Sputnik.
The United States recently announced that it intends to form a maritime alliance in the Gulf region under the pretext of providing security for maritime navigation, while Iran warned of the repercussions of this scheme, stressing that this alliance will only increase tension in the region and warned of serious consequences if the Israeli occupation entity joins it.
