Hama Chamber of Commerce has joined the business sector initiative to support the Syrian pound by depositing its members from traders and businessmen with cash in US dollars in the branch of the Commercial Bank of Syria.
Chairman of the Chamber, Eng. Ayman Malandi, told SANA today that the Chamber of Commerce started this week after communicating with the Commercial Bank branch to provide the necessary facilities to depositors by accepting the deposits until 10:00 pm and the speed of completing the required transaction, provided that the deposit period is open and not less than a month.
He explained that the dealers of Hama province are also participating in the campaign "My currency .. my strength" to support the Syrian pound, noting that the number of members of the Chamber of Commerce in Hama is 11 thousand traders.
He said that this initiative would lead to the reduction of the dollar exchange rate against the Syrian pound and improve its value, thus lower the prices of goods and commodities in the markets and enhance the purchasing power of the citizen, considering that the campaign to support the lira step must be followed by other steps are to support the local industry and the national product and reduce the costs and burdens facing the industry National.
