New York-Sana

The representative of Iran to the General Assembly of the United Nations Farhad Mamdouhi confirmed the involvement of the Saudi regime in supporting terrorist organizations and waging wars in the region.

Mamdouhi said in a speech yesterday at the General Assembly meeting in New York that Saudi Arabia's practices in supporting terrorists in Syria and the region and waging aggressive wars lead to destabilization of security and stability, pointing at the same time to the complicity of the Saudi regime with the Zionist entity against Iran.

Mamdouhi pointed to human rights violations in Saudi Arabia and the repressive practices of its rulers against their critics, which reveals the terrible nature of the Saudi regime.

On the other hand, Mamdouhi pointed out that while private parties in the region and abroad are making systematic provocative attempts to prevent freedom of maritime navigation in the Gulf, all actions of Iranian forces are focused on the implementation of laws and regulations relating to the protection and preservation of law and the marine environment and to ensure peace and security of maritime navigation and reassurance to the flow energy.

He stressed that any foreign presence in the Gulf region is a source of undermining security in it, stressing that regional cooperation is what brings real security in this region.
