[Seoul 1st Reuters]-North Korea's Korea Central News Agency (KCNA) reported on the 1st that North Korea and the United States agreed to hold a working level discussion on October 5.
The summit held in Hanoi, Vietnam in February ended with no success, as the gap over the North Korean nuclear issue was not filled.
KCNA quoted the statement of Deputy Foreign Minister Choi Sung-hee, and reported that it had agreed to hold a working-level consultation after the US and North Korea made preliminary contact on October 4. .
“We expect the North Korean delegation to be ready to enter the North American practical level negotiations” in a statement, “I expect the positive development of the North American relationship will accelerate through the practical level negotiations.”
Although North Korea has recently shown a willingness to consult with the United States at a working level, the United States has stabbed it to be more flexible.
