The branch of the General Establishment for Seed Propagation in Al-Hasakah has started contracting farmers to plant propagation fields with wheat and barley crops in the first and second agricultural stability areas.
Director of the Foundation branch Ayed Al-Hussein told SANA that the branch's plan for the agricultural season includes planting eighty thousand dunums of wheat crop and eight thousand dunums of barley crop in order to produce improved seeds of all varieties for the need to secure seeds for the coming seasons.
Al-Hussein pointed out that the branch allocated two thousand tons of wheat seed and one hundred and twenty-five tons of barley seed to be distributed to the farmers contracted with the branch for the next agricultural season, stressing the continuation of the branch process of screening and sterilization of securing the seed, where it has been completed to date about five thousand five hundred tons of wheat and barley seed Of the total amount of six thousand seven hundred and thirty tons.
The field committees of the Foundation branch conducted sensory statements on the fields to be contracted during the last period.
