Daraa-Sana
The branch of the General Organization for Sowing Propagation in Daraa started distributing the sterile and sifted wheat and barley seeds to the farmers according to the agricultural regulation document.
The branch manager, Ghazi Al-Nassif, told SANA today that the first batch of sterile seeds was delivered to Jassem Society with a quantity of 208 tons, indicating that the branch shipped to Aleppo agricultural banks in Miskaneh, Deir Hafer and Al-Safira amounting to 500 tons. Kenitra Bank and the preparation of 1500 tons for the International Committee of the Red Cross for direct sale and the branch has a stock of raw seed up to 17,289 tons.
Nassif added that the screening and sterilization operations continue around the clock and the amount of sifted daily on average to about 100 tons.
As part of its plan for the agricultural season, the Foundation branch produced 16,000 tons of wheat seed and 1,000 tons of barley seed.
