The Bakra Ahla Shopping Festival organized by the General Secretariat of Hama Governorate and Al-Fajer Group for International Exhibitions and Conferences in cooperation with the Syrian Foundation for Commerce and Chambers of Industry, Trade and Agriculture in Khan Rostam Pasha Archaeological Museum, which opened yesterday, witnessed a huge turnout exceeding 4,000 visitors.

The festival, which lasts until the 10th of this month and reflects the recovery in the economic and commercial sector in Hama, according to Sabah Sarmini, director of the Syrian branch of trade in Hama, pointing to the great demand.

In turn, Eng. Noman Al-Asfar, Director of the General Company for Wool and Carpet Industry in Hama, confirmed that the company has put through its pavilion a wide variety of woolen carpets at competitive prices in addition to selling carpets in installments to workers in the country.

Anas Al-Turk, head of the Amal Charity Association in Hama, pointed out that the association's participation is through displaying the products of the sewing workshop, which proceeds to secure treatment for cancer patients.

Sherif Al-Hassan, director of Masyaf shoes factory, pointed out that the factory was able to return to the local market gradually and impose itself in front of imported products.

Maher Al-Baz, from the Food Industries Company in Daraa province, said that the festival is witnessing a large influx and contributes to breaking prices and monopoly and offers a wide variety of food and basic necessities.

The Director of Hama Poultry Facility Dr. Iyad Abdullah said that the participation of the public sector in the shopping festival is important in terms of supporting the national industry through the presentation of products and the definition and sale at prices close to cost.

In turn, Ziad Arabo, president of Hama Chamber of Industry, stressed the sectoral diversity of the participants in order to meet the needs of consumers and open a wider spectrum of industrial companies to be present at the festival.

Samer Ardous, General Manager of Al Fajer Group for International Exhibitions and Conferences, said that the launch of the festival in 2019 is the culmination of the successes of the festival during previous sessions.

A number of visitors to the festival regarded the festival as a positive experience and Abdul Razzaq al-Shami said that he is waiting for the shopping festivals that began in Hama to buy his needs at reasonable prices, while the employee Nabila Al-Saleh saw the festival as a lifeline for us as consumers through the availability of the commodity at an acceptable price.

The young Alaa Suleiman said that he is a frequent visitor to the festival and see the many offers and choose what suits him in terms of quality and price.
