Occupied Jerusalem - SANA - The Prisoners and Editors' Affairs Authority warned of the escalation of violations by the Israeli occupation authorities

Occupied Jerusalem-Sana

The Prisoners 'and Editors' Affairs Authority warned of the escalation of violations by the Israeli occupation authorities against Palestinian prisoners in their detention centers, especially the deliberate medical negligence against the sick prisoners and the lack of treatment and disregard for their lives.

The two prisoners, Mousa Soufan, 44, from Tulkarm and Tariq Assi, 37, from Balata refugee camp, east of Nablus, are living in harsh conditions of detention and face very difficult health conditions as a result of medical negligence and delay in providing necessary treatment and refraining from surgical procedures. .

The committee pointed out that the prisoner Sufan suffers from lung cancer and pain in the joints and worsened his condition and needs surgery, while the prisoner Asi suffers from a cancerous tumor in the colon and broke his hand as a result of torture, but the occupation authorities procrastinate and disregard their lives.

There are about 6,000 Palestinian prisoners in Israeli detention centers facing harsh conditions of detention, where 1800 prisoners suffer from several diseases, including about 700 prisoners who need urgent medical intervention, especially cases of cancer, kidney failure and paraplegia.
