The Administration of the Craft Zone in Qardaha City in Latakia called on those wishing to invest in the region to submit their applications after the completion of the majority of works in the first tranche, which included roads, sidewalks and infrastructure of water and electricity.

Maher Diab Al-Beb, head of the Qardaha Projects Group at the Military Housing Establishment Branch, said in a statement to SANA that the craft area project includes the implementation of the “first tranche” contracts where most of the shops have been completed. The percentage of implementation is close to 70 percent, pointing to the preparation for the signing of the contract of the second tranche and the launch of work soon, which allows the completion of infrastructure works in full.

The craft area is one of the most important sources of revenue for the city council in the future when placed with investment and will transfer professions and crafts from residential neighborhoods within the city, according to the chairman of the city of Qirdaha Eng. Ali Al-Qouzi, who pointed out that the craft area can receive most crafts and professions and includes the first tranche of about 37 shops And 3 factories with large areas ready for investment.

He pointed out that the Council opened the field of subscription to shops and the amounts of allowances have been reduced to encourage investors, noting to stop granting licenses to all professions, including blacksmithing, carpentry, aluminum saws and repairing bicycles and cars, which will be transferred to the craft area according to the segments allocated to each profession by the beginning of next year.
