The Council of Ministers approved the executive procedures for the substitution of local industries instead of importation after completing the necessary studies and their effects on the targeted goods and sectors.A team was formed to prepare the special file for each project, including geographical positioning, approvals, issuing licenses, and securing the needs of enterprises from land, production inputs and loans.

The program includes mainly the yeast, paper and tire industries, the textile sector in all its stages, tractors, batteries, the poultry sector, the modern irrigation accessories industry, renewable energies, household equipment and the pharmaceutical sector and its requirements, including generic medicines.The study will include a slice of about 40 items to be produced locally and prepared for export.
The Council asked the ministries of economy, foreign trade, industry and finance to coordinate with the Ministry of Local Administration regarding the approval of development projects for each governorate, which the government started recently in Tartous and Lattakia governorates in parallel with the continuation of supporting other developmental and service projects.
The Council instructed the ministries of service to complete the rehabilitation of schools, health centers, police units and local councils in the villages free of terrorism in the rural areas of Hama, Idlib and Raqqa to accelerate the return of people to it.
As part of its periodic follow-up to the reality of the markets, the Council listened to a presentation by the Minister of Internal Trade on the expansion of the Syrian trade halls and the provision of basic materials, pointing to the opening of 42 new halls and direct maintenance of storage and cooling centers and the intensification of mobile car tours to serve areas where Syrian trade halls are not available.
